Joseph Miller

Joseph Miller is the Assistant Chief of the Litigation I section of the Antitrust Division, US Department of Justice, where he oversees civil investigations in a wide range of industries, including insurance, health care, and consumer products. Prior to joining the Justice Department, Mr. Miller practiced antitrust law at Collier, Shannon, Rill & Scott, and as a staff attorney with the Federal Trade Commission. Mr. Miller received his B.A. from Emory University in 1986 and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1991.

Bryant Welch

Dr. Byrant Welch, J.D., PhD.

Bryant Welch has been a nationally prominent psychologist/attorney for thirty years. He currently resides on Hilton Head Island, SC where he practices clinical and forensic psychology. Dr. Welch graduated from Harvard College in 1968 and from Harvard Law School in 1972. In 1976 he received the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a research associate graduate of the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute.     Dr. Welch is an experienced psychotherapist and has provided clinical services to individuals and couples since 1976. He has been voted a Distinguished Practitioner by the National Academy of Practice and holds the Diplomate in Clinical Psychology.


Dr. Welch has provided testimony on psychological matters to all levels of government including the White House, Congress, and the Federal Judiciary. He has been widely recognized as an effective advocate for mental health services and for minority rights. In August of 2005, Dr Welch was awarded the APA Presidential Citation for his "seminal and unique contribution to professional psychological practice."


From 1986 to 1993 Dr. Welch initiated and ran the American Psychological Association Practice Directorate leading Organized Psychology through one of its most successful advocacy eras.


Dr. Welch has appeared on all major networks and been quoted in most major news sources on mental health related matters. He has received numerous awards from national and state mental health organizations and held academic appointments with several universities including the University of North Carolina, George Washington University, and the University of South Carolina at Beaufort.

Professor Wendy Murphy

Professor Wendy Murphy

Professor Wendy Murphy is an adjunct professor of law at New England School of Law, teaching a seminar, Perspectives in Law: Sexual Violence.In spring 2002, she served as the Mary Joe Frug Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the law school, and during the 2002-2003 academic year she was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School. A former assistant district attorney in Middlesex County, where she worked AS AN APPELLATE AND TRIAL ATTORNEY AND SPECIALIZED IN THE PROSECUTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND SEX CRIMES, she now focuses her practice on advocacy for women and child victims of violence. She has generated several test cases that helped shape state law on the confidentiality of victim counseling records and has argued other cases that focus on fairness to children and equality for women in criminal law and practice.

 The founder and director of the Victim Advocacy and Research Group, she consults with organizations around the country and has provided policy analysis for Congress, the Department of Justice and the Violence Against Women Office addressing the concerns of women in matters of gender-based violence. She is also associate editor of the Sexual Assault Report and the author of numerous articles and opinion pieces on the criminal justice system, sexual violence, child abuse, and related legal topics. She was a principal performer on the nationally syndicated television show, "Power of Attorney" and IS A CBS NEWS LEGAL ANALYST, APPEARING REGULARLY ON CBS "THE EARLY SHOW".  WENDY ALSO PROVIDES LEGAL ANALYSIS FOR ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Fox News, Court TV, "Dateline," "Good Morning America," "The Today Show," and NPR.
